Network Rules
By connecting to Zoite IRC Network you agree to follow these rules in addition to all applicable laws. Failure to comply may result in removal of privileges or network bans.
Be respectful.
Harassment, personal attacks, hate speech and excessive profanity are not tolerated. Treat fellow users and staff with courtesy.
No unsolicited advertising or spam.
This includes mass-invites, chain letters, referral links, or automated promotional messages.
Bots must set /mode +B and have channel-owner approval.
Ask the channel founder or an op before unleashing a bot. Network-wide utility bots are welcome in #zoite
for review.
Virtual hosts are available for registered nicks.
Join #zoite
and request one from staff. Your vhost is applied automatically once you identify with NickServ.
Secure connections are encouraged.
All servers accept SSL/TLS on port 6670. Non-SSL users may be disconnected during major security incidents.
Protect your privacy.
IRC is public by design. Connect over TLS, use /umode +x
or an approved vhost to mask your IP, and never post personal details—addresses, phone numbers, private photos, login credentials, or third-party information.
Follow channel-specific rules.
Each channel may set additional guidelines (e.g., spoilers, NSFW, language). Operator decisions in their channels are final.
Staff contact.
